THE GRADY GARDENS In the Grady
Complex
A Scenic Entrance To Historic
Setting
The Grady Courtyard, facing Commerce Street directly behind the
Historic Grady Building, provides a dramatic entrance through a garden
into the Grady Market.

The courtyard is named for the Grady Brothers, early Apalachicola
businessmen who, in 1884, founded J.E. Grady & Co., a ships' chandlery
and mercantile business which operated on the Apalachicola Riverfront
until the mid 1930s.
The Grady Building has been completely renovated and features the
Consulate with four luxury apartments on the second floor and retail shops
on the first floor.
The courtyard itself features an entryway facing Commerce Street
leading to The Grady Market through a garden-like setting with outdoor
seating.
